Jonathan Goring to take on full time role heading up Capita Symonds joint-bid for 拢400m Ministry of Defence private sector partner contract

Capita Symonds managing director Jonathan Goring is to take a new role heading up the consultant鈥檚 defence joint venture with URS and PA Consulting as the race for the Ministry of Defence鈥檚 拢400m private sector partner job heats up.

Goring told 好色先生TV he would take on the new role, effective immediately, heading up the firm鈥檚 joint bid for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation鈥檚 (DIO) strategic business partner contract.

Goring said: 鈥淭his is one of the biggest infrastructure challenges the UK faces and we think it鈥檚 substantial enough for me to give it my full time attention.鈥

Capita Symonds chief operating officer Graham Cowley will take over managing the firm in Goring鈥檚 absence.

Capita Symond鈥檚 joint venture with URS and PA Consulting is one of three shortlisted bidders for the role.

Telereal Trillium, KPMG and Mace make up one consortium, and Serco, DTZ and Bechtel the other.

The DIO issued an invitation to negotiate on 21 December, with the process now ramping up ahead of an appointment expected in October this year.

The DIO stated at the time that payment because of an incentive-based contract to encourage the strategic partner to drive efficiencies across the defence estate.
