More than 1,200 people attended construction’s biggest event of the year

Graham Construction, NG Bailey, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and the Education & Skills Funding Agency were the big winners at the annual ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Awards last night. 

The ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last night, hosted by comedians Katherine Ryan and Rory Bremner, was attended by more than 1,400 people from the UK construction industry. 

Graham Construction was named Major Contractor of the Year for firms with turnover of £300m, beating, among others Lendlease, McLaren Construction and Wates to the prestigious prize. 

The Specialist Contractor gong went to NG Bailey while Allford Hall Monaghan Morris picked up the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Magazine Project of the Year prize for its work on New Scotland Yard in central London. 

Other winners included Ridge & Partners, Alinea, WSP and Berkeley Group.

Turner & Townsend chief executive Vincent Clancy and Gleeds chairman Richard Steer scooped the respective CEO and Personality of the Year awards.
