BDP-designed science and technology park, part of a wider masterplan, is set to get underway
Construction of architect BDP鈥檚 science and technology park south of the Chinese city of Nanjing, is set to get underway. BDP鈥檚 Shanghai studio submitted schematic design proposals for the Lishui Zijing Technology Enterprise Park earlier this month, with work now ready to commence.
The scheme forms part of a wider masterplan, also designed by BDP and phase I will deliver 140,000m2 of new commercial office space with supporting retail, civic and public realm spaces.
The masterplan was conceived to respect the contours and context of the site and to integrate the existing network of canals and reservoirs into a cohesive layout, which creates green corridors. Completion of phase I is scheduled for the end of 2014.
