Deal includes support for the architect on major projects
BDP has signed a three year agreement with Autodesk to help with its BIM rollout.
The architecture practice will be supported by the software company on individual projects and in overall BIM implementation.
BDP said it had been using BIM, and Autodesk software, on many 鈥渟ignificant鈥 projects, including the 拢850m city centre regeneration development Edinburgh St James and AstraZeneca鈥檚 new global research and development centre and headquarters in Cambridge.
BDP鈥檚 director of IT, Alistair Kell, said: 鈥淭his will provide significant benefits, driving efficiency and profitability across all areas of the business.鈥
The firm is part of the consortium led by NBS currently developing a digital toolkit for BIM.
