Scheme in Bedworth to start later this year
Bam has won a pre-construction services agreement for a £24m leisure centre scheme in Warwickshire.
Called the Bedworth Physical Activity Hub, the project was procured through the Procure Partnerships Framework. Along with Bam, other firms on the framework include Morgan Sindall, Laing O’Rourke and Kier.
Construction work on the site will be planned around the existing Bedworth Leisure Centre and public activities in Miners’ Welfare Park.
The new hub will include a 25m, eight-lane community pool and a learner pool with a moveable floor, as well as a four-court sports hall, fitness centre, 3G sports pitch and a skate park.
The scheme for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is expected to start later this year and finish in 2024.
Others working on the job include GT3 Architects and Faithful & Gould.
