Scheme to complete in summer 2022
Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Bam to build a new 拢70m mental health facility in north London.
Work on the new building (pictured), opposite the Trust鈥檚 existing Highgate Mental Health Centre in Highgate, is due to begin on site later this year after it was given planning by Islington Council.
Bam will be replacing the wards at St Pancras Hospital with a new mental health facility
Designed by Ryder Architects, it will include five wards, a gym, activity spaces and a community caf茅 and is expected to be complete in summer 2022.
The centre in Highgate will replace the mental health inpatient wards at St Pancras Hospital, which are no longer fit-for-purpose.
Bam was appointed through the Procure 22 framework, which is set to be replaced by the P2020 framework worth 拢20bn.
