UK homes, offices, public buildings, hospitality venues and other buildings are together responsible for 25% of our greenhouse gas emissions.

From steel to cement, the UK construction industry has relied on the sturdiest of sturdy materials to create buildings to stand the test of time. But they don’t now pass that test. Too often, buildings are created with carbon intensive materials that end up as waste and generate further emissions as soon as an office block is knocked down for a new build to go in its place.
