RMJM has won an international design competition for a high-rise development in Ekaterinburg in central Russia, the country鈥檚 fifth-largest city

The 100m tower will include 46,000m2 of apartments, a hotel, and a 鈥渧ertical park鈥� through its core with another park at the top.

Matt Cartwright, director of RMJM, said: 鈥淓xtreme climates in summer and winter prohibit many people from enjoying public parks and spaces. We decided to bring the outdoors inside.鈥�

The development will form the heart of a new art, cultural and sports quarter.
