Alcoa Architectural Products’ new zinc finishes are both pre-weathered

Alcoa Architectural Products has added two zinc finishes to its range of composite panels: Quartz-Zinc, a matt grey, warm patina, and Anthra-Zinc, an anthracite patina, reminiscent of natural slate. The finishes are both pre-weathered. Reynobond Zinc is produced from a rolled zinc alloy, which the company claims is stronger than pure zinc, and consists of two pre-weathered zinc sheets surrounding a fire-resistant core.

The composite panel is 4mm thick and weighs 12.2kg/m2. Reynobond Zinc comes in a maximum width of 1,000mm and standard lengths of 2,000mm, 3,000mm and 4,000mm. Panels to a width of 1,250mm with a metal thickness of 0.7mm and in lengths of up to 6,050mm can also be supplied on request.

The firm says Reynobond Zinc can produce angles and curves that make it possible to extend the options for facade design. It also says that the shower tray is suitable for use with vinyl floor coverings.
