Internorm’s Solar + windows exceed the requirements of Part L 2010
Internorm has developed a new thermal coating for its windows which will be made available as standard on its UPVC and UPVC-Aluminium windows: Thermo Passiv, Thermo Design, Dimension+ and Passion ranges. Solar+ is a triple insulating glass that exceeds the requirements of Part L 2010. Internorm claims that the thermal conductivity of Solar+ is 20% higher than with standard triple glazing. This means that solar energy gain is increased by 20% too. It is also available on selected timber-aluminum windows. Solar+, at a width of 36mm, can achieve a U-value of 0.8W/m2K. Internorm says that Solar+ triple glazing maximises the potential energy gains provided through solar irradiation.
