Peter Reyner Banham (1922-1988) was a renowned design and architecture critic and has been regarded as one of the first design historians.
This annual lecture series has been organised by the RCA/V&A History of Design department and the Design History Society since 1989. This year's lecture, American Glamour: Philip Johnson, Eero Saarinen, and Mid-Century Modern Architecture, will be given by Alice T. Friedman.
Friedman is a writer and the Grace Slack McNeil Professor of the History of American Art at Wellesley College, Massachusetts, US.
