Turner & Townsend has raided rival Jacobs for its new head of its infrastructure business in Birmingham.

Tania Flasck replaces T&T鈥檚 current infrastructure boss, Dean Purvis, who has been with the firm for nearly five years and is set for a new and as-yet-undisclosed role in the company.

Flasck joins T&T from the European arm of US professional services behemoth Jacobs, where she was vice president for solutions and technology, having previously been the Texas-headquartered firm鈥檚 head of water and energy for its European operation since 2016.

Before joining Jacobs she was project management and commercial leader at US consultancy MWH Global.

Flasck will lead T&T鈥檚 150-strong infrastructure team in the region, managing the utilities sector for the business nationally and overseeing the delivery of programme management and advisory services for the likes of Highways England, HS2, Severn Trent Water, Network Rail, the Environment Agency and Birmingham Airport.

David Whysall, T&T鈥檚 UK managing director: 鈥淲ith connectivity high on the city鈥檚 agenda, Birmingham and the wider region is seeing significant investment in infrastructure. I鈥檓 pleased to welcome Tania, whose wealth of experience will help our clients drive excellence in their approach to setting-up and delivering major infrastructure programmes.鈥

T&T was ranked 6th in 好色先生TV鈥檚 recently-published 2018 list of top 150 consultants, level with last year.
