Nightingale hospitals across the north of England have been asked to get ready to take on more patients.
NHS Nightingale hospitals in Manchester, Harrogate and Sunderland are being asked to prepare for patients as the number of covid-19 patients rises.

International Health Partners, a joint venture between Vinci and Sir Robert McAlpine, was the main contractor on the Manchester Nightingale hospital, while the Harrogate facility was built by Bam. Tolent built the field hospital in Sunderland.
This morning, NHS medical director Professor Stephen Powis said the hospitals would be mobilised over the next few weeks.
The sites, which were built in the spring, were later mothballed after the number of covid-19 infections began to fall.
