Scheme at 6-8 Bishopsgate will be 50 storeys tall

Keltbray has begun demolition work at the City of London site which will eventually be home to a new 50-storey tower known as Prussian Blue.

The scheme at 6-8 Bishopsgate has been designed by Wilkinson Eyre and will provide 86,000m2 of office space once completed.

Japanese developer Mitsubishi Estates added another 10 storeys to the scheme last spring while the tower will also feature a top-floor public viewing gallery, ground floor shops and restaurants.

The wider project team includes development manager Stanhope, QS Alinea, Arup as the structural and services engineer.

A main contractor has yet to be appointed and no start date earmarked for when building work on the 225m tower will begin.
