Cambridge council has awarded planning permission to a PRP-designed 270-home residential scheme on the southern fringes of the city.
The scheme, for housebuilder Hill and housing association BPHA, will comprise 162 homes for private sale and 108 affordable and retirement homes managed by BPHA.
There is also planning consent for a 100-bedroom student residence for The Bell Educational Trust Limited.
The scheme will be built on fields adjacent to the city鈥檚 Bell Language School.
Construction is set to start immediately and first completions are expected during Summer 2015.
