Contractor wins 拢300m affordable housing job plus roads and environment work
Housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try has won a place on frameworks worth 拢350m across housing, transportation and environment sectors.
The contracts include a 拢300m affordable housing framework with London-based housing association A2 Dominion for its new build housing programme. The contract will see Galliford Try Partnerships deliver projects in the 拢5-10m bracket alongside 14 contractors, and be one of nine contractors for projects worth 拢10m and upwards.
The Environment Agency has appointed Galliford Try to manage parts of its flood defence, waterways and water resources capital works programme in England and Wales.
The firm is one of six core contractors who will work on the framework, which has been extended to March 2013. It expects to secure 拢30m of work over the period.
Infrastructure projects make up 拢950m of Galliford Try鈥檚 拢1.75bn order book, and East Riding and Yorkshire Council and Stoke-on-Trent Council have both engaged the firm to handle road maintenance work during the next four years.
The contracts cover re-surfacing, traffic management, highway maintenance and carriageway marking work, and are worth an estimated 拢20m.
