Whitehouse Construction’s door system have security, thermal and sustainability credentials

Whitehouse Construction has launched a residential door system, which its says gives watertight protection against flooding. The doors are specially designed to seal and make the door opening watertight in times of a flood. They can also be used in conjunction with airbrick covers to make the external face of a property watertight. The door system is available for residential PVC-U entrance doors and French doors. The company says both doors exceed the minimum requirements of PAS 1188-1:2009 for water leakage, and it claims there was no measurable water ingress after eight days of testing. The doors also have security, thermal and sustainability credentials; they have a U value of 0.8 W/m2K.
