Autodesk, has launched a new version of its AutoCAD design software for the Mac operating system.
AutoCAD for Mac has an interface that will be familiar to Mac users and takes advantage of the Mac operating system with features such as graphical browsing of design files with Cover Flow and the use of Multi-Touch gestures on Mac notebooks, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad for intuitive pan and zoom features.
With support for native creation and editing of files in the DWG file format, AutoCAD for Mac also allows files created in previous versions of AutoCAD to be opened seamlessly, reducing time-consuming file translation and cleanup of converted data.
Autodesk has also developed the AutoCAD WS mobile application, a new app that will enable AutoCAD users to edit and share AutoCAD files on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch so they can have real-time collaboration on the go.
