Scheme would be part of city鈥檚 planned digital district

Enterprise city campus

Allied London has revealed plans for a new concept building at Enterprise City, Manchester鈥檚 digital district which was launched last year.

The developer revealed initial designs by architect Child Graddon Lewis (CGL) at the Mipim property show in Cannes this week.

Michael Ingall, Allied鈥檚 chief executive, said the concept building 鈥 referred to as Enterprise City campus 鈥 was a 500,000 ft虏 integrated series of buildings that could be a new tech and media campus for Manchester.

鈥淭he building, if developed, would be an extension of Enterprise City, placed adjacent to the new Factory arts centre, and replacing part of the Trinity Islands development.鈥

The 拢110m Factory arts centre, which has been  designed by Rem Koolhaas鈥檚 OMA, was given the green light last year. Allied is developing it in tandem with the city council with the main contractor on the job Laing O鈥橰ourke.

A 67-storey residential tower, also designed by CGL and developed by Allied London, was given planning last summer. It will include 1,400 homes.
